Brown Street Clock

Owosso, MI

The City of Owosso owns this clock which is located today downtown at 112 W. Main St. It originally belonged to L.P. Ball Jeweler (110 W. Main St.) from about 1920 until 1958. Ball sold out to V.L. Schmidt who was a jeweler and watchmaker for many years.

In the 1960's the clock was hit by a car and removed. Eventually the city bought the clock and re-installed it on Main St. in about 1990.

In the 1940's - 1950's smaller dials replaced the original ones and Telechron electric movements replaced the weight driven wind movement.

In about 2006, Don Marrah restored the case.
