It has been modified with neon lights.

Below, the cap of the base has been remade in aluminum at some point.
Inside the base, the original wind movement has been replaced with two electric clock movements in the clock head.
However, the parade unit was too high to go under street overhead wires. So the column was removed to lower the clock head.
This clock adorns the rear entrance of the business.
Below is a photo taken in the early 1900's.
The huge wall cases were donated to a museum and the floor cases were re-purposed into the design of the 2015 Molinelli store interior remodel.
Here is the store in the 1940's.
The neon lights and art deco adornment was added in the 1940s.
