Grand Trunk Steam Engine Photo Archives

Above is Engine #255 at Owosso in 1924 crossing Washington St. in Owosso, Michigan. The class A-15-e and rated at 16% (16,000 lbs tractive effort). These were all inherited from the GT Railroad in the 1923 consolidation of various properties which became the Canadian National. It is doubtful any of these teakettles survived to see the Great Depression of 1929.
