Joseph Mayer Brothers Street Clock Company

Seattle, Washington

Researchers believe about 100 Mayer clocks were produced between 1909 - 1930 and approximately 49 survive in the U.S. The Mayer company designed and made their own the clock case and some Mayer clocks have E. Howard clock company movements and others have Mayer movements. Eight known 8-dial clocks were manufactured and three survive.

Also about 46 confirmed Mayer clocks appeared on Seattle streets and only 15 survive in 2014.

At least three Mayer "00" size movements are known to exist. And two gravity escapement movements and two sets of eight dial motion works also survive.
